- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- No - the operator must keep copies of pest control service reports and/or invoices available on-site for review (with records to be kept for a period of one year). The copies of records can be kept as email/pdf digital copies or paper copies (with minimum of once per month service).
- 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
- No - the Food Handling Permit is current (expiry date of February 28, 2027) and must be kept continually posted in a conspicuous location at all times. The operator is to ensure to post the annual updated Food Handling Permit to be visible to the public at the food premises.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- No - there were some wall sections in the storage areas adjacent to the open main kitchen area with no baseboards, which is necessary to allow for ease of cleaning and prevention of possible rodent-entry points into the walls. The operator is to install / add such baseboard sections as necessary.
