      • Observation: Sanitizer spray bottle noted with clear liquid, test strips indicate 100 ppm chlorine.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure chemical bottles are properly labelled "sanitizer" or "bleach water" to avoid confusion of what the clear liquid is in the spray bottle. Bottle is stored out of reach of children.
      • Correction date: immediately

      • 502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
      • Observation: No staff on duty noted with valid FOODSAFE Lv. 1 certificate when supervisor is away.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure at least 1 staff per shift/day has valid FOODSAFE Lv or equivalent. Ideally more then one staff has the certificate in case some one is away or sick.
      • Keep a copy of a staff's certificate available onsite or posted by the downstairs fridge.
      • Register regular/ full time staff into Food Safe - valid for 5 years.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Spray sanitizer too strong > 200 ppm chlorine, test strip was bleached out.
      • Corrective Action(s): Reviewed proper sanitizer formulation with staff, remember, 1/2 - 1 tsp bleach: 1 L of water.

      • Observation: Staff with foodsafe certification took course > 10 years ago, therefore certificate has expired.
      • Corrective Action(s): At least one staff onsite has to have foodsafe, please register for a new class or the refresher option by August 17th , 2018. Send proof of registration to EHO.
