- 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
- - Chlorine test strips onsite were expired in 2025. Discussed issue with principal. New test strips are required.- No records kept indicating testing of sanitizer solutions is being done - solutions were not measured at satisfactory concentrations at the time of the inspection. Spray bottle sanitizer solutions should be monitored for concentration at least daily and replaced as required.

- Pest control monitoring inspections/records not being completed regularly. Monthly pest control inspections of the kitchen and any food storage areas are required and records documenting these inspections are to be kept onsite for review. Discussed issue with principal and she indicated that she would look into if there is an active contract for the school with a professional pest monitoring service and provide those reports.

- The back kitchen door was propped open at the time of the inspection which allowed viewing of the exterior door on the adjacent wall and a gap between the double doors was observed - this gap needs to be closed to prevent the entry of pests and/or vermin into the kitchen area.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- Vent hood service sticker indicates that the next service was due in October 2023. Have the vent hoods serviced and update the sticker. - May 19, 2026 - vent hood service sticker indicates that the next service was due in 2025. Have the vent hoods serviced and update the sticker.Sections of the front counter shelving and prep counter next to the 3-compartment sink venire were peeling off exposing the untreated wood underneath. Repair/refinish the damaged cabinet shelving sections to be smooth, non-porous and easily cleanable. Discussed issue with principal.

- - The toasters were visibly dirty and require cleaning. Discussed with principal, who indicated that these may be discarded.- The far-right compartment of the 3-compartment sink requires cleaning. This also indicates that the 3-compartment sink method for dishwashing may not be completed properly.- The cabinetry drawer next to the 3-compartment sink requires refinishing - hole in bottom. - June 2, 2026 - Toasters visibly dirty inside and require cleaning. Dirty dishes left in the right compartment of the 3-compartment sink. No change to the drawer next to the 3-compartment sink - refinishing/repair still required.

- Cleaning/sanitation logs found were last completed April 28, 2023. Ensure logs are completed regularly.A visibly dirty large pan/equipment was stored next to the hand sink and must be cleaned. Do not allow dirty dishes to sit for an extended period of time as they can become a source of food for pests. - May 19, 2026 - A visibly dirty large plastic bowl was left in this same location at the time of this inspection. - June 2, 2026 - Multiple dirty dishes and pots were left on this counter again as well as several in the 3-compartment sink.The interior floor of the freezer was visibly dirty and require cleaning.The upper grocery cabinets require cleaning - food debris visible.

- A bag of shredded white cheese with excessive visible mold growth was noted in the glass door cooler. Ensure all food products are regularly monitored for signs of spoilage and discarded as needed.Discard any products with visible mold growth.

- The lock on the chemical cabinet next to the 3-compartment sink was broken so the doors could not be locked. This allows any students potential access to chemicals when in the kitchen space. Students were observed in the kitchen during the inspection of the daycare in the same facility building.Repair the lock and/or store chemicals in a different location until the lock is fixed.
