- A section of the adhesive flooring next to the bed storage area was not properly adhered to the floor in the 18–30 months room. Re-adhere the loose section of the flooring.

The water temperature at handwashing station of 2.5-3.5 years room was recorded maximum at 16C.Ensure the plumbing issue is addressed and the hot water can achieve the recommended temperature of 49C at all the handwashing sinks that are child accessible to meet the needs of the proper handwashing.

- 1. Cabinet under handwashing sink used for storing cleaning supplies, in the washroom of 18-30 months room did not have child lock and toddler tower was being used as to block the access.The manager installed safety locks on the cabinet doors during the inspection.2. Cabinets under the food prep counter used for storing cleaning supplies, in the kitchen did not have child lock.The manager installed safety locks on the cabinet doors during the inspection.3. Two Art projects, with loose pushpins on them, were observed within the reach of children in the washroom of the 18-30 months room. The staff removed the indicated items from the washroom.

- In the infant room, a care provider failed to wash a child's hands after diapering procedure until instructed by the public health inspector. Review proper handwashing and diapering procedures with all the care providers. Ensure that proper diapering procedures are followed and that child's hands are being washed after every diapering procedure.

- Following first aid kits were missing supplies:-Infant room: alcohol pads in the kit were expired,-18-30 months room: alcohol pads in the kit were expired,-2.5-3.5 years room: alcohol pads in the kit were expired,-3.5-4.5 years room: there were not any band aids,Ensure the first aid kits are adequately supplied and regularly checked for the supplies.

- There was not adequate lighting available for the diapering station in the 18-30 months room. Discussed with the manager to relocate the diapering station to another location with appropriate lighting overhead. Ensure the facility has adequate lighting.

- 1. The feeding booster chairs in the Infant room were observed visibly dirty. The onsite staff cleaned and sanitized the dining tables during the inspection.2. Dust and debris were observed under the mat on the diapering table in the 18-30 months room. Onsite staff cleaned and sanitized the diapering station during the inspection.

- Sensory board featuring switches and latches in the 3.5-4.5 years room was observed in disrepair. Discussed with the staff to remove the indicated board from the play area and repair it prior to use.The onsite staff removed the indicated board from the room.

- Multiple lower cabinets in the infant, 18-30 month, 2.5-3 years rooms and the kitchen area containing diapering supplies, craft supplies/batteries and chemicals were left with the child safety locks not engaged and accessible to children.Discussed issue with manager and safety locks were engaged during the inspection.

- The bleach sanitizing solution for wiping cloths in the infant, 18-30 month, and 2.5-3 years rooms measured 10ppm chlorine.Discussed the issue with manager and all solutions were remade to 100ppm chlorine during the inspection. Utilize test strips to monitor the solution concentration and prepare new solutions as required.

- A shatter resistant mirrored surface was attached to the end of a low shelving unit in the 2.5-3 year room. The surface did not have a frame and the exposed ends and corners were sharp and at a height that could result in injury if children were to bump into it.Discussed the concern with the manager and the surface was moved to a wider shelving unit which did not allow for any exposed ends/corners.

- The child accessible sink in the infant room was not functioning at the time of the inspection.Workers were onsite but not working on this item at the time of the inspection. Repair the sink.

- Observed water bottles for children filled at the same sink that hands were washed after diapering. Discussed sink use with facility manager and director and staff and children will now wash hands in the attached washroom sink after diapering to ensure diapering is kept entirely separate from food areas.

- Mouthed-toy bin not present in toddler play room - facility manager obtained a temporary bin during the inspection. Ensure mouthed toys are removed from play circulation until they can be cleaned and disinfected.

- The hot water temperature measured at all child accessible hand washing sinks was greater than 54C. The recommended maximum water temperature for child accessible fixtures is 49C. The facility director indicated that she would discuss the issue with the building landlord and/or a plumber to come to a solution.The 3-compartment sink that the facility director indicated was for toy washing requires a repair to the faucet to allow it to fill all basins.
