    • 302 - Critical Repeat Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation: Food contact surface (counter top for serving finished meals) observed to be wiped without proper sanitizing method. Damp cloth was used to wipe surface without sanitizer. No sanitizing solution was available in the kitchen at time of inspection.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure that food contact surfaces are regularly disinfected using an approved sanitizing method. Bleach is available on site to prepare sanitizer solution. Approximately 1/2 a teaspoon of bleach per litre of water is adequate to prepare a solution for disinfection. When not in use, wiping cloths should be stored in a bucket with sanitizer solution.
    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Inside of microwave inside of kitchen area needs to be cleaned. There is significant food residue layered on the top inside surface of the microwave that may contaminate foods that are being heated inside.
      • Corrective Action: Clean the interior of the microwave.
    • 401 - Critical Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation: Liquid soap is not available at hand sink in dry storage area. A detergent is necessary for proper hand washing in order to help prevent transmission of communicable disease to the public and food handlers.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure that liquid soap is immediately stocked for food handlers at the hand sink without needing to access cupboards or open containers.
