Inspection summary

Game ON has been inspected 2 times by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health) since April 15, 2025. The most recent inspection, on October 7, 2026, recorded 5 infractions.

1 of 2 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 5 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing, Food temperature control and Pests.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded once on October 7, 2026. For example: Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded once on October 7, 2026. For example: Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?

  • PestsHigher risk

Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.

Recorded once on October 7, 2026. For example: Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded once on October 7, 2026. For example: Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded once on October 7, 2026. For example: Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?

About this data

These results come from Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health), which inspects food premises and other public facilities in this area. We republish the authority's public disclosure data and refresh it regularly; the official record is the final word.

  1. Monitoring Inspection

    5 infractions

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Quats sanitizer concentration was measured at 0 ppm in the kitchen sanitizer solution in which utensils were immersed. Inadequate sanitizer concentration may result in ineffective sanitization of utensils and increase the risk of contamination.Corrective Action: Operator was advised to prepare a fresh sanitizer solution at the 200 ppm concentration. The solution was remade during the inspection and retested at 200 ppm.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Ranch sauce was measured at 15°C using an infrared thermometer while stored in portion cups. Refrigeration-required food items must be maintained at 4°C or below to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and reduce the risk of foodborne illness.Corrective Action: Operator was advised to ensure refrigeration-required food items are maintained at 4°C or below at all times. The ranch sauce was relocated to a refrigeration unit during the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Mosquitoes and flies (including drain flies and house flies) were observed in the glasswasher area. Evidence of pest activity indicates that pests are present within the facility and may contaminate food, equipment, utensils, and food-contact surfaces, increasing the risk of foodborne illness.Corrective Action: Operator was advised to investigate and eliminate the source of the mosquitoes and flies and take effective measures to eradicate the pests from the facility. Operator was advised to maintain the premises in a manner that prevents pest activity.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • A valid Food Handling Permit was not observed posted in the facility. The operator was advised that a valid Food Handling Permit must be posted in a conspicuous location where it is readily visible to the public.Corrective Action: Operator posted the valid Food Handling Permit at the front of the facility upon request during the inspection.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Dirty ceiling fan ducts and a stand-alone fan with accumulated debris were observed in the dishwashing area. The operator was advised that accumulated dust and debris may become airborne and contaminate equipment, utensils, and other surfaces within the facility.Corrective Action: Operator was advised to thoroughly clean and maintain the fan ducts and stand-alone fan to prevent the accumulation and spread of dust and debris within the facility.
