- Observation: A gap was observed by the back door and the door leading to kitchen nearby walk in freezer. Weather-stripping is in disrepair, can allow the entry of pests.
- Corrective Action: The operator must ensure that the commercial food establishment is constructed to prevent the entry of pests.

- 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Dirty meal receipts with sauce and food particles were seen placed next to the cutlery bin. The food particles on the receipts are exposed to temperature danger zone and may potentially contaminate the sanitized cutlery.
- Corrective Action: Operator moved the cutlery bin away from the receipts and will make sure they are protected from contamination.

- Observation: Back door opposite to walk in freezer has a gap that can allow mice and pests to enter. Mice can fit through gaps as small as a pencil tip. Food is also kept on the floor in the freezer unit which attracts mice and pests.
- Corrective Action: Operator to contact building maintenance to get it fixed.
