      • -The back exit door had a gap along the bottom.This gap must be sealed so that no light is visible when the door is fully closed to prevent entry of mice or other pests. Pest control records were not available.A few droppings were still observed in the facility.

      • Some food products, including ensure and donuts come from an unknown source. Ensure invoices are available for all food in the facility.

      • Mouse droppings were observed in various areas of the facility, including but not limited to:- The back office.- The back Storage room. - In the retail space. Hire the services of a pest control company.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • -The back exit door had a gap along the bottom.This gap must be sealed so that no light is visible when the door is fully closed to prevent entry of mice or other pests. Pest control records were not available.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • Open food was being served contrary to permit restrictions. Open food, including coffee, or individual candy is not able to be served unless the appropriate sinks are installed and approval is granted.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • -The raised platform for the staff counters was constructed of unfinished plywood. Several areas of the plywood were dirty. The plywood must be properly finished so that it is smooth, easily cleanable and waterproof.

      • -The back exit door had a gap along the bottom.This gap must be sealed so that no light is visible when the door is fully closed to prevent entry of mice or other pests.

      • -An invoice will be e-mailed to you by our admin. Follow the instructions and pay immediately. Once payment has been received by us, the admin will e-mail you the Food Handling Permit. Print this off and post it in an area where people can see. If we do not receive payment, your facility will be closed.

      • -The back rooms were cluttered. The clutter must be reduced in the back areas, organized so that everything stays off the floor and cleaned. This will allow for easier cleaning and prevent attracting pests.
