      • Discussed high-level disinfection requirements under the new Personal Services Regulation and Standards. Semi-critical reusable instruments such as nail clippers and cuticle pushers must be disinfected using a high-level disinfectant that contains a DIN number and expiry date. If re-using the high-level disinfectant after the first pour, test strips must be used to verify pass/fail of the disinfectant solution and records must be kept for testing.
