    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • All rooms were missing paper towel during the inspection. Operator submitted photos of newly purchased paper towel the following morning. Please ensure the facility always has paper towel available for staff and children.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Peeling paint was observed on the walls in the green room, preschool room and toddler room. Please repaint these damaged areas.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • All handwashing sinks were missing paper towel. The child bathroom adjoined to the preschool room was missing soap. The operator submitted photos of newly purchased soap and paper towel the following morning. Please ensure there is always soap and paper towel available at all handwashing sinks as these supplies are critical for handwashing and preventing the spread of illnesses.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Toys were observed floating in soapy water in the sink in the baby room. The operator stated bleach had been added to the water, but 0 ppm chlorine was measured after testing. The operator was educated on proper toy washing and sanitizing procedures and asked to re-wash and sanitize the toys.Please inform all staff of proper toy washing procedures. Toys must be first washed with soap and warm water to remove visible dirt/grime, rinsed with fresh water, then submerged in a bleach/water solution at a concentration of at least 100 ppm for at least 2 minutes. Do not add the bleach to the previously used soapy water, as soap can negatively interact with the chlorine in the bleach, rendering the bleach less effective at killing bacteria.
