      • Observation: Observed rodent droppings along the perimeter of the dry storage room.
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean up droppings and sanitize affected surface with a bleach solution. Ensure food contact surfaces are sanitized prior to food prep.

      • Observation: Upright cooler measured at 6 to 9 C. Mostly just dairy products. Both temperature gauges used inaccurate.
      • Corrective Action(s): Make sure cooler is serviced such that it gets to 4 C or less. Follow up with pic of temperature gauge showing proper temperature. Follow up will be on inspection date noted on report

    • 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
      • Observation: Heavy cockroach infestation noticed in the cafeteria especially underneath the ice maker, coffee maker drains, wash sink and cabinet under the hand sink.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1. A licensed pest control company must be contracted to monitor and control cockroaches immediately.
      • 2. Place roach monitoring stations in the above areas to assess the extent of the issue.
      • 3. Disconnect and remove the ice maker temporarily as a huge number of cockroaches and their nymphs were observed.
      • 4. Remove all food products, beverage bottles, boxes, cardboard and all equipmet from cabinets under the countertops
      • 5. Clean all coffee spills, coffee ground spills and food spills from the floors, cabinets and cabinet hinges
      • 6. Remove all wet and soggy MDF wooden sheets affected by water leaks and moisture build up.
      • 7. Seal or patch any gaps or cracks in the cabinets to prevent cockroach harborage. Remove double shelving as this promotes cockroach harborage.
      • 8. Replace any deteriorating shelving with solid wood or impervious easy to clean shelving in cabinets
      • 9. Move all equipment and thoroghly clean and sanitize the floor underneath.
      • 10.Clean all above counter cabinets.

      • Observation: Build of coffee gounds and coffee spills noticed underneath coffee maker and espresso machines. A number of items were found stored on the floor in dry storage room
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean all food debris. Remove unnecessary food item from the storage area. All boxes, food products, dishes etc must be stored on the shelves at least 6 inches off the floor.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Internal temperature of milk and other opened beverages registered 20 C at the time of inspection. The refrigerator is not working properly; registered 19-20 C.
      • Corrective Action(s): All milk and othe opened soya based beverages were discarded during the inspection. Repair or replace the fridge so that it is capable of maintaining food items at 4 C or below at all times. Ensure to take corrective actions (e.g relocating or discarding potentially hazardous food items) if temperatures higher than 4 C are noticed during temperature checks.
