    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Walk-in freezer door is not sealing properly. Warm air is continuously entering and is causing significant frost & ice build up inside and on the products.
      • Corrective Action: Please find a temporary solution to better seal the door. Discard any open food that has been negatively affected. Manager has discussed a plan properly and permanently fix this issue.
    • 312 - Items not required for food premises operation being stored on the premises [s. 18]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Staff drinking mug was found in the food processing area. Staff should not be consuming food or drinks while handling food (as this is a concern for cross contamination).
      • Corrective Action: Move drinking mug away and consume food or drinks outside the food processing area.
    • 401 - Critical Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation: There is one handwashing station available for use that is shared between the front service and back kitchen staff. Its location is not conveniently located for kitchen staff. One kitchen staff was observed changing gloves, but not washing their hands. (Public Health Significance) Handwashing is an important practice to ensure food is protected from cross contamination from other previously handled foods or contact surfaces.
      • Corrective Action: Please ensure staff are reminded to following proper handwashing frequency. Install a secondary handwashing station conveniently located for staff to use.
