    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • In toddler room 2 and infant room, thumb tacks were observed on the board.- Please remove and ensure to only use materials that do not pose potential hazards to children.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • The first aid kit for the toddler rooms had expired antiseptic wipes. Some unexpired wipes were available.- Operator discarded the wipes. Ensure that supplies are up to date and replenished as needed.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler's washroom1. The backsplash was observed to be damaged and in disrepair.- Please repair or replace the backsplash. 2. The diapering change pad was noted to be torn and not in good condition.- Please replace the changing pad.Ensure that surfaces are smooth, non-absorbent and easily cleanable.3. In Toddler room 1, some wooden toys were observed to be chipping and foam toys had visible bite marks.- Please discard and replace. Ensure to go through the toys regularly and remove worn-out toys as they are not easily cleanable.4. The toy bins were noted to contain dust in them.Please clean and ensure that toys and their storage bins are routinely cleaned.

      • 1. In toddler room 2, paint bottles were incorrectly labeled as the content were different from the original bottle.- Operator removed the old labels and replaced with the correct ones.2. A torn rest mat was observed to be covering the sand table.- Operator removed the mat and provided an appropriate sand table cover.Ensure to only use surfaces that are easily cleanable and non-absorbent. Only use items for their intended purposes to prevent potential contamination (from the dirt to the mat and then to children).

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Exterior issues will be addressed in the spring 2025. Previous Inspection1) The exterior deck was rotting (top of stairs to under the deck).-repair/replace any rotted building materials.2) the vinyl decking on the deck was not sealed or adhered to the deck; water was getting between the walls and vinyl decking, which was likely resulting in the rotting of the wood underneath.

Previous Inspection1) The exterior deck was rotting (top of stairs to under the deck).-repair/replace any rotted building materials.2) the vinyl decking on the deck was not sealed or adhered to the deck; water was getting between the walls and vinyl decking, which was likely resulting in the rotting of the wood underneath.

      • March 3, 2025, inspection:Mouse droppings were found in the storage and laundry room. February 5, 2025, inspection:Pest technician found 2 mice and refill bait stations noted on yesterday's pest report. Mouse droppings were found in the office, storage room and laundry room during today's inspection. Previous Inspection:Mice feces/droppings were found in the basement office.-pest control has already been on-site. Contact Pest Control again to help resolve the issue. ALSO, clean and organize the basement; remove and discard any item from the basement that isn't part of the daycare operations. The accumulation of items are perfect hiding spots for mice. -Use the Christmas break to clean and organize.

      • Toddler 2 room- the laminate strip for the front facing of the toy bin shelving unit has lifted. Please repair the loose laminate or replace the toy bin shelving unit.

      • Only main kit has cpr barrier device. Please ensure all kits used onsite have a cpr barrier device included.

      • Preschool Room 2- Primo Bingo dabbers are labelled 'keep out of reach for children'. This product is not intended for use for children. Corrected onsite.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Designated diapering station had debris collected on surface around the diaper pad. Please ensure staff clean and disiinfect both the diaper pad and surrounding surfaces.

      • Diapering station- one part of the safety belt is bolted to the wall, the bolt was not fully secured to the wall. Corrected onsite. Ensure staff are inspecting the station and ensuring the diapering area is in good construction.
