      • Chemicals are not secured/locked up in the cabinet under the diapering handwashing sink in the hallway.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Infant room: no paper towel or paper towel dispenser observed at the diapering handwashing sink. Corrected onsite.Toddler room: paper towel needs to be in a dispensing unit at the diapering handwashing sink.Diapering station outside of mixed age group room: no soap or paper towel available. Paper towel needs to be in a dispensing unit.

      • Infant and toddler room: dishes are being washed in the diapering handwashing sinks. The diapering handwashing sinks must be kept empty at all times and can be used for handwashing only.
    • 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
      • Observed multiple children's high risk lunches (such as cooked food or dairy products) and bottles of milk being stored at room temperature. High risk food needs to be stored in the fridge or parents need to bring it with ice packs to keep the food cold or thermos to keep the food hot.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Senior preschool/Kinder rooms: used cleaning cloths are being re-used. Cloths can only be used once and then put into a used cloth bin, or single use paper towel can be used instead to disinfect surfaces.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Senior preschool/Kinder room: 7 mats were observed in disrepair and need to be replaced as they are no longer cleanable.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Elevated equipment is observed in infant and toddler room (slide with a fall height of 29" in infant room and a slide with a fall height of 27" in toddler room) without proper protective surfacing in place. Slides need to be removed or proper surfacing is needed.

      • Kitchen: 2-compartment sink hot water faucet is in disrepair; there is no hot water supply.Mixed age group diapering station in hallway: diapering handwashing sink hot water faucet is in disrepair; there is no hot water supply.Ensure all sinks have hot and cold running water.

      • Senior preschool/Kinder room: bedding is stored in a cabinet all together without any separation. Bedding needs to be stored separately for each child, such as in labelled bags.

      • Bathrooms in the hallway have no paper towel at the sinks.

      • Infant room: thermometer is needed for the mini fridge.
