      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure student handle washed and sanitized equipment and utensils in a sanitary manner to prevent potential cross contamination of equipment and utensils. Baking sheet was washed and sanitized at the time of inspection.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Severely dented can of pumpkin was found in the store room.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure dry storage foods are checked on a regular basis and all dented containers discarded. The safety of dented canned foods cannot be guaranteed. Dented can was discarded at the time of inspection.

      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure all students properly wash hands when they become dirty to prevent potential cross contamination. Reviewed hand hygiene procedures with student and student properly washed hands.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Package of bacon was stored above potential ready-to-eat foods.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure raw meats are stored below potential ready-to-eat foods to prevent potential contamination of foods. Bacon was relocated at the time of inspection.

      • Corrective Action(s): Single use gloves must be changed when they become potentially contaminated to prevent potential contamination of foods. Gloves were changed at the time of inspection. Review with students proper hand hygiene practices.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Student was observed handling cell phone and did not wash hands prior to continuing with food preparation.
      • Corrective Action(s): Students must wash their hands properly after handling cell phones and other potentially contamination surfaces to prevent potential cross contamination of foods. Chef to review proper handwashing and cell phone usage with students.

      • Observation: Ice machine was found to have a thin pink layer growing on the metal plate inside the ice machine and some white mould was found on the underside of the shelving units in the walk-in cooler.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis and facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times. A sanitary facility also prevents potential contamination of foods.
