      • Observation: Single-door display cooler in the dining area containing beverages, sauces, & salads was operating at ~9 degrees Celsius at start of inspection. Temperature control knob inside the unit was adjusted to reduce the operating temperature.
      • Corrective Action(s): *Transfer potentially-hazardous (perishable) foods into another unit.
      • *Contact a repair technician to assess and repair the unit as needed

      • Observation: Fraser Health records indicate payment remains outstanding for the 2025/26 fiscal year (due in April). Operator indicates that his records show that payment was provided.

      • Observation: 1) Rodent droppings found on floor surfaces around the dough mixer and underneath metal wire across from the 3-compartment sink.
      • 2) Several flies observed near the 3-compartment sink.
      • Corrective Action(s): *Disinfect areas around rodent droppings using bleach or another sanitizing agent, then clean up the droppings (wearing mask & gloves)
      • *Seal entry points into the premises to prevent further rodent activity
      • *Obtain fly strips (or other measures, as needed) to control flies in the premises

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Spray bottle with Z1 sanitizer label was improperly filled with glass cleaning chemical
      • Corrective Action(s): *Emptied and filled sanitizer spray bottle with the correct chemical.
      • *Train employees on the correct usage of the different chemicals in the premises. The sanitizer chemical must be used on food-contact surfaces to eliminate germs that can cause foodborne illness.

      • Observation: Food temperatures are currently at 9-11 degrees Celsius in the pizza prep cooler. Operator indicates that the temperature was recently adjusted due to freezing of the compressor lines.
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator indicates that a repair technician is already scheduled to come later today to assess the unit.
      • *Temperature adjusted at time of inspection. Monitor temps closely to ensure temperature is restored to 4 degrees Celsius or less within 2 hours.
      • *If temperature does not reach 4 Celsius or less within 2 hours, transfer all perishable foods into other refrigerators until the unit can be assessed by the repair tech.
      • Violation Score: 5
      • 401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation: Hot water knob on the front hand-sink is stripped. Faucet is only capable of dispensing cold water.
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator indicates that the replacement parts have already been purchased and are scheduled for installation early next week.
      • *Instruct staff using the front hand-sink to wash hands for longer duration to compensate for the lack of hot water (until faucet is repaired/replaced).

    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Quats sanitizer wall dispenser is not providing adequate supply of sanitizer concentrate when dispensing. Water pressure is also very high at the dispenser.
      • Corrective Action(s): *Repair technician is scheduled to visit today to assess the unit.
      • *Sanitizer spray bottles that are already in the food premises may continue to be used, as the sanitizer (quats) concentrations in them are at 200ppm.
