    • 07. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • Foods were stored in the staff bathroom. Remove all foods from the bathroom storage - store foods in a safe and sanitary manner. The bathroom is not a sanitary area for food storage.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Hand sink in bathroom had only bar soap. Please provide liquid hand soap and paper towels in suitable dispensers.
    • 18. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this food facility (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) Some foods were sold past their best before dates. Oreos from China had a production date of February 14, 2023 but label stated they had a shelf life of only 9 months. This is not a major health concern, however, please ensure that you monitor dates on foods.2) Roll of toilet paper was stored on top of a box next to the toilet. Please install a holder so the roll is not directly handled.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • Food handling permit was not displayed and owner could not locate permit. Please ensure that a valid food handling permit is posted in a conspicuous location.
