- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) A dented can of Maple syrup used for the back-park school program was observed in the dry storage area. Also Cinnamon Cannelle with best before date of 2024 was also observed at the dry storage area. Dented cans may have compromised seals and could allow for the growth of pathogens such as botulism which may lead to the risk of foodborn illness.
- Corrective Action: Remove all foods that are spoiled, adulterated or otherwise unfit for human consumption from the premises.
- 302 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
- Observation: Wiping cloths left on the counters between use. (Public Health significance) - Cloths once used can harbor and grow bacteria if left as used at room temperature.
- Corrective Action: Store wiping cloths in a sanitizing solution of 200 ppm chlorine or 200 ppm QUATs. Mix according to the manufacturer's specifications.

- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) No active sanitizer detected in sanitizer containers or spray bottles. (Public Health Significance) Sanitizing solutions must be strong enough to destroy bacteria on surfaces to prevent the contamination of food or food contact surfaces which may lead to a foodborne illness.
- Corrective Action: Change sanitizing solutions as required to always maintain an effective concentration ( 200 ppm QUAT)- follow manufacturer's specifications)

- Observation: A dented can of mandarin oranges was observed in dry storaged. Dented cans may have compromised seals and could allow for the growth of pathogensm, such as botulism, that would increase risk of illness.
- Corrective Action: Operator to remove dented cans from premises.
- 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Containers of lettuce were left uncovered and open to contamination inside the refrigerator. Contamination of food from contact with objects inside the refrigerator can increase risk of illnesses.
- Corrective Action: Operator covered lettuce.
- 401 - Critical Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
- Observation: No dedicated handwashing sink provided for hand washing. Dirty utensils were accumulating in the handwashing sink. Hand washing is an important practice to ensure food is protected from cross contamination from other previously handled foods or dirty surfaces.
- Corrective Action: Operator to ensure the hand wash station is used only as a hand wash station. Soap and paper towel in dispensers and hot and cold running water must be provided to facilitate proper hand washing.
