    • 302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation: Dishwasher not turned on at time of inspection. Upon turnign unit on the display remained dark. Not able to fill or run cycle. Operator stated she moved unit yesterday and the display was working. Operator using manual dishwashing to prep for dishwasher. Two sink method of dishwashing signage displayed.
      • Corrective Action(s): Get display working again and make sure unit is functioning as per manufacturers operating requirements. Service as necessary. A follow up inspection is needed. See follow up date noted on report.

    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Ice machine observed with biomat film forming in ice dispensing chamber. Showed operator with flashlight.
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean unit by turning off machine, removing existing ice and performing a thorough cleaning of ice holding basin and ice producing chamber. Make sure to rinse any chemicals from unit prior to use again.

      • Observation: Two sink method of dishwashing is not adequate for operational needs or uses of premises and not followed adequately.
      • **Existing high temp dishwasher is not being used.
      • Corrective Action(s): Use of the dishwasher must be put back in use as per original operational approval and the dishwasher must be left on at all times during hours of operation.
      • A follow up inspection will be conducted to verify. See inspection date for details.

      • Observation: A) Food containers stored in second washroom.
      • B) This washroom is also being used by either staff or customers. Handwashing not accessible.
      • Corrective Action(s): Operator must decide how to use this space, but the storage of food or food containers in a washroom is not allowed.

    • 309 - Chemicals, cleansers, & similar agents stored or labeled improperly [s. 27]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Quats solution in spray bottle labelled bleach. Solution also measured in excess of 500 ppm, the highest measure for test strips. Diluted solution to 200 to 400 ppm range. Manufacturers directions indicate a ratio of approximately 2.5 ml solution per 1000 ml water. Spray bottle max capacity is 650 ml. Recommend getting a dollar store pump dispenser and use it as dosing system for spray bottles. This will be a more reliable method to dose small volumes of concentrate.
      • For bleach, a similar dilution ratio can be used. ***Make sure not to mix quats and bleach for safety reasons.
      • Corrective Action(s): Make sure to dilute sanitizers into proper concentrations as discussed.
      • Make sure to label all pray bottles to use and chemical. Label "water only" spray bottles as well to avoid any mistakes.
