      • Observation: Produce room sink drain pipe connection broken and sink wastewater falling directly onto floor (and into floor drain). Discussed with manager and is aware. Repair order in place.
      • Corrective Action(s): Do not use these sinks until fixed no discharge gets onto floor. It is possible that sewage from main line can enter this pipe and get on the floor. When fixed send pic. This should be fixed asap and certainly prior to use again.

      • Observation: Floor drains in meat cutting rooms, seafood, and leading from cooler compressor units observed with accumulation of biomat and/or food debris. Possible drain fly attraction (none observed).
      • Floor and surround at bakery freezer and meat freezer observed with accumulations of stagnated water with biomat forming. likely from condensation.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure these areas are part of sanitation plan cleaning schedule. Pour chemical (i.e. floor cleaner, bleach etc.) or boiling water down these drains to detract from pest breeding potential.
      • Ensure staff regularly mop up and clean up the floor surrounding the sliding doors to the meat and bakery freezers.

      • Observation: 1. Build up of food debris noted in the floor drains in front of the meat section cooler, dairy/eggs walk-in cooler and other floor drains.
      • 2 Dirt build up noticed under the vent grates in some island display coolers and freezers.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1. Clean all floor drains thoroughly by using a drain foamer if needed. The floor drain checking and cleaning must be included in
      • store's weekly sanitation checklists ( By August 30, 2018).
      • 2. Clean under the ventilation grates for all coolers or freezers that require cleaning. Checking and cleaning these areas must be on a biweekly or monthly cleaning log. Recommended checking all coolers/freezers and cleaning them one by one as needed to eliminate dirt build up.
