      • Observation(s): On a demandé au propriétaire et au cuisinier séparément ce qu'ils utilisaient pour le désinfectant, et ils m'ont montré EconoClean qui n'est pas un désinfectant. Ils ont des QUATS qui sont autodispensés dans l'évier arrière. Assurez-vous que vous disposez d'un seau ou d'une bouteille de désinfectant pratique dans les deux zones avant et arrière.
      • La solution d'assainissement F2.3D doit être disponible et maintenue aux niveaux appropriés pour une action d'assainissement adéquate.
    • F2.5 Les locaux et l'équipement sont-ils correctement entretenus et exploités de manière sanitaire (c.-à-d. entretien continu)?
      • Observation(s): - le compteur d'arborite de la zone de service avant a une finition usée et doit être réaménagé ou remplacé - le scellement du bac à glace se détériore, et le bac a été jugé impur à l'intérieur. Réparation, détartrage et nettoyage. - le capot d'échappement n'a pas été nettoyé de façon professionnelle l'an dernier, et l'inspection annuelle des incendies a été effectuée pour la dernière fois en mars 2021. Les buses d'incendie étaient également dirigées vers le haut plutôt que vers les appareils appropriés. Dans l'ensemble, les locaux étaient très propres et bien organisés, mais certains travaux d'entretien sont nécessaires.
    • F2.6 Les locaux sont-ils conçus et équipés pour assurer une manipulation sécuritaire des aliments?
      • Observation(s): Il n'y a pas d'éviers à main dédiés dans les zones de transformation ou de préparation des aliments avant ou arrière. Il y a un risque plus élevé à l'avant en raison de la transformation du poisson sur les drains et dans les éviers, et il y a un point de vente. Veuillez installer un évier séparé dans la zone de service avant.
    • F2.7 Y a-t-il des stations de lavage des mains disponibles et correctement fournies?
      • Observation(s): Selon F2.6, il devrait y avoir au moins un évier à main bien équipé installé dans la zone de service avant.

      • Observation(s): Saumon entreposé sur une étagère au-dessus des citrons et autres légumes. Mesures correctives : S'assurer qu'aucune viande crue n'est entreposée au-dessus des aliments prêts à manger. Réorganiser les articles entreposés dans un refroidisseur à l'italienne et toute autre réfrigération pour s'assurer que les aliments sont entreposés correctement.
      • F1.7A L'exploitant doit s'assurer que tous les aliments présents dans les locaux sont protégés contre la contamination.
    • F2.3 Les surfaces, les ustensiles et l'équipement en contact avec les aliments sont-ils lavés et désinfectés de manière à éliminer ou à prévenir la contamination?
      • Observation(s): Registres de température montrant une faible température sanitaire (174°F - 178°F). Mesures correctives : S'assurer que la température atteint au moins 180 °F. Assurez-vous que le lave-vaisselle est exécuté le matin jusqu'à ce qu'il atteigne la température du désinfectant (180 °F) pendant le rinçage final. Surveillez les températures du lave-vaisselle. Si vous n'atteignez pas 180°F, contactez la personne d'entretien du lave-vaisselle et, dans le temps, utilisez 3 éviers de compartiments après les 4 étapes du lavage à la vaisselle (WASH>RINSE>SANITIZE>AIR DRY).

    NOM fresh fish market with option for take out or delivery! 11-1 is there typical kitchen hours please call ahead it’s greatly appreciated. it was exactly what i needed before riding the slopes. I got 1 fish n chip ‘snapper’ it was surely delicious. homemade fries with all the makings. they also have a soup of the day that you must check out. I ended up buying a frozen soup that was under 5$ which i think was a steal of a deal. fresh sushi Wednesday/Friday! it’s in the heart of vernon you can’t help but feel sooo grateful to have access to so many fishy varieties!

    This place has amazing selection of fresh and frozen delights, plus extra stuff like rice and sauces. We had friends in town visiting and got a bag of the frozen Argentinean shrimp and sushi rice for supper and WOW was it ever good!! Add a nice salad and it was such a healthy meal. LOVE this place.

He also made efforts to save me money by recommending more reasonable cuts. I would happily stop here regularly if I lived in Kelowna but I will be back.

    A Fine Kettle O' Fish was my 200th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in town. I was informed they do Sushi Wednesday and Sushi Friday days. I came in on a Tuesday. Most items in their deli (ready to eat) section were all shrimp themed products. I felt like Bubba from Forrest Gump as I purchased Shrimp Pizza, Thai Shrimp Spring Roll, Popcorn Shrimp, a crab cake, coconut shrimp, Tempura Shrimp, Shrimp Vietnamese Spring Roll, and a crispy fried oyster piece. My dad is allergic to shrimp so I ate it all by myself. I paid $31 after tax. They also have refrigerated and frozen dinner products ready for purchase along the back wall. I was surprised how many products they had here. I ate all of this food and everything was delicious. The Vietnamese Shrimp Spring Roll was my favourite. I recommend giving this place a try if you want some seafood.

    Not only a fish market, this place has a great selection of import foods and products. Their freezer cases have a selection of meats and prepared foods that include beef, chicken, and pork options. As for the fish, you can get a lot more options than a supermarket and even get to try fish you have likely never heard of before. Freshwater options also appear on the market board outside the normal options. Have seen it is for sale so hopefully if that happens the new owners have the same dedication and care.

    I pre-ordered lefsa last year & awaited shipment arrival, I received a call and my partner picked up multiple packages. This year I decided to stop in on my way from Kelowna back to Kamloops and I’m glad I did. What an amazing spot, the gentleman who served me was so welcoming, funny and kind. My only regret was not bringing a cooler to buy more! Absolute 10/10 service and seafood shop, and I really appreciate they bring in lefsa, it’s exactly like my Nanny would make, and that’s everything to me.
